Althea Angels : Althea A'Bloom Sheet Masks and BHA Blackhead Blaster Review

Assalammualaikum.

Last week, Althea Korea launched their latest in-house brand which is A'bloom! So i was lucky enough to try them out on their launching day. So this time round, i would like to share with you guys about Althea A'Bloom Sheet Masks and BHA Blackhead Blaster. They also had launch a meringue puff (beauty blender) too but i think should just share about it in my next post together with my first short and sweet makeup video lol. Bu as for now. let see how it works!

Recipe for A Sparkling Skin - Althea A'Bloom Sheet Masks

I am a fan of sheet masks, so i was very excited to try Althea A'bloom Sheet Masks.There are four different formulas, all made to suit our skin's needs; Water-Me-Long Moisturizing Sheet Mask, Avo-Cuddle-Me Sheet Mask, Ac-Me-Peach Sheet Mask and Sparkle-Me-Bright Sheet Mask.

For the beginning, I have tried Ac-Me-Peach Sheet Mask as I was actually having a trouble-prone skin. This mask however suitable for all skin types, great on people with oily skin (i had a combination skin, so kinda related to oily right?). Althea A'bloom Mask Sheets were made of 100% Natural Eucalyptus Sheet which is cruelty free. Infused with peach extract which fight blemishes as it is rich with Vitamin A and Vitamin C. Also contains tea tree oil which is known helps to kill bacteria that leads to blemishes. Trust me, it also helps to sooth your skin and reduce redness. Each sheets contain 25g of essence which is super moist! It gives you lightning moisture charge, a soft peachy skin, perfect pH balance after washing, cleansing your face. Next is, Water-Me-Long Moisturizing Sheet Mask, a moisturizing mask which contain watermelon extract that keep the skin hydrated and supple. Also contain lavender that helps to calm with a relaxing smell. It is effective for those who are having combination, dry, and chapped skin. However there should be no problem for other skin types to try it too as it is made for all skin types.

If you are having a dull and tired complexion, Sparkle-Me-Bright Sheet Mask could be the one for you. Suitable for all skin types, but great for combination skin. This brightening mask clarifies and brighten dull skin.Vitamin C from lemon and lime extracts banishes dark spots and green tea boosts brightening while calming skin.

Last but not least, Avo-Cuddle-Me Sheet Mask which is for skin nourishment and wrinkle care. Rich in antioxidants, it is infused with avocado extracts that helps to protect our skin from harmful environmental factors. Also packed with Vitamin E that helps to improve skin elasticity and radiant dew. It is suitable for all skin types, but great on dry skin.

My Personal Review: I really love the Ac-Me-Peach one, so i bought a bunch of it during the launching day. The size of the mask is quite big i guess (my face is small, i assume that others might disagree on this). Also at the beginning it is quite hard for to me unfold and put it on my face nicely lol but after second attempt, it was just fine. And skin felt so much better. I haven't tried the rest yet, so i might share the full review maybe in the future. hehe If you are interested to purchase, you can go and visit Althea's website now as they are selling at RM 2 per pcs and RM 15 for 10 pcs. It was super cheap, affordable and worth buying hehe

Hi readers! Have you heard that Althea Korea had launched some exclusive makeup stuff? I was so excited when i heard them and was about saving some money to buy lol (They are not too pricey, it is affordable i am just exaggerating about me saving my money just to buy them hihi) Lucky me, i got the chance to try them out for free so yeaaa haha i am very grateful then (this year will change my entire life so yea i do need to save some money) ! So let's see what i got from Althea Korea. This is the best box i had received from Althea for this year. hihi A bunch of makeup stuff ! What is in the box: Althea Skin Relief Spot Gel (15ml); Althea Flawless Creamy Concealer (6g) in 4 shades (01 #Vanilla, 02#Ginger, 03#Honey and 4#Mocha); Althea Eye Palette Sunrise & Moonrise BCL, Althea Spotlight Eye Glitter in 2 shades (gold and pink) and also Watercolor Cream Tint in 4 shades (01#Plum Cream, 02# Strawberry Cream, 03#Peach Cream, and 04#Marron Cream).

Althea Skin Relief Spot Gel (15ml) @RM 19

Acne spot treatment which contains tea tree oil (antibacterial properties to treat acne spots), Centella asiatica extract (soothes redness and strengthens the skin), and Salicylic Acid, Pine leaf extract (rich in antioxidants to repair and calm irritations) . Also contains glycerin and niacinamide to help soothe, moisturize and brighten your skin. Suitable for all skin types, it is a unique gel that creates film to protect and treats acne.

Not sticky and leave skin smooth, easier for me to apply makeup

How to use it: Apply a thin layer onto targeted areas and allow to dry for approximately 5 minutes. Let it dry before applying makeup. Can use it before you sleep too.

Althea Flawless Creamy Concealer (6g) @RM15

Cover your spots, panda eyes and blemishes with Althea Flawless Creamy Concealer! Contains Aquaxyl which helps to keep your skin hydrated. There are 4 shades to choose from - #01 Vanilla (Pink beige #21), #02 Ginger (Warm ivory #21), #03 Honey (Warm peach #23-#25), #04 Mocha (Deeper yellow #30). I should review them individually in the next post!

There are three steps suggested by Althea:

STEP 1 Apply onto areas that need coverage like under the eyes, around the nose or anywhere with blemishes and gently blend with your fingers or a sponge.

STEP 2 Highlight by applying a lighter shade on the high points of the face, and contour with a darker shade to carve out your features and define the face shape.

STEP 3 Use the fine tip of the applicator to apply onto hard-to-reach areas like the corners of the eyes, lips and tiny blemishes.

Althea Eye Palette Sunrise & Moonrise BCL @RM140

Suitable for daytime and night time makeup look, this pigmented shadows in glitter, shimmers and mattes definitely will make you fall in love! With 8 different shades you can create your own look from a fresh look perfect for everyday, and a glamorous look perfect for the glam night.

I was sooooo in love with this eye palette!

Althea Spotlight Eye Glitter @RM24

Contains Squalene (improve suppleness of the skin) and made of finely milled shimmer pigments for a reflective glow, Althea Spotlight Eye Glitter can be used as eye shadows or eyeliner! Can also blend it over your nose bridge or cheek to create glowing effects after makeup.

How to use it: Apply onto the lids using the applicator. Gently pat in to blend and wait for 3-5 seconds to dry. Can also apply onto the bottom lash line for Aegyosal style makeup. Blend out with a finger or a cotton bud and wait for 3-5 seconds to dry.

Althea Watercolor Tint Set (4.5ml) @RM80

Tint + gloss type lippies that definitely will give you the best of all worlds. I love the colours and the smell, this is my first time to try red lippies lol and I was soooo in love with them. There are 4 different shades that you can choose; 01#Plum Cream, 02# Strawberry Cream, 03#Peach Cream, and 04#Marron Cream. Buy individually for only RM20 each. How cheap is that???

Hey guys (opsss i mean ladies), if you are going to ask me is it worth it to try Althea's makeup products, the answer is YES! I was impressed with the price (it is affordable, trust me) to be compared with the quality of the products. They are AWESOME peeps. 2 in 1 Cleanser : Althea Pore Purifying Serum Cleanser Review

I was then introduced to this newly launched Pore Purifying Serum Cleanser by Althea last month. haha (Actually earlier than that, but i did not try it until this month) . As I mentioned before i am currently facing skin breakouts so i really need a pH balancing cleanser that could help to sooth my skin. Combining the powers of a cleanser and serum, it removes makeup, dirt and oil while ensuring our skin to stay cool and hydrated. I am also attracted to this cleanser as it is suitable for all skin type even to those who are having sensitive skin, like me.

Pore Purifying Serum Cleanser

This was my first time to try a serum-like cleanser so i was quite excited to try it out when Althea announced their launching of this product. Let see some of the Althea's Pore Purifying Serum Cleanser key ingredients:

KEY INGREDIENTS

Mint leaf extract - Cools down the skin and soothes irritations

Jojoba seed oil - Deeply moisturizes any dryness without feeling heavy

Tea tree leaf extract - Has antibacterial properties that purify the skin

With dual moisture cell system, a combination of water and oil that gently and effectively remove makeup, dirt and oil without drying your skin. It is also a pH balancing cleanser that contains 5.5 ~ 6.5 pH to ensure healthy skin. Unlike cleansing oil, it does not leave any oil residue after cleansing.

Each bottle contain 150 ml, a slim bottle that could definitely fit in our bag and not heavy. With its two in one function, i believe it could be one of my must have item to bring along during travel. However i don't really like the bottle cover as it does not hold the product well. It keeps on leaking, i guess it is better to use pump-like cover to replace the current cover. huhu

A very light weight serum cleanser

How to use it: What you need to do is just dampen your skin and apply small amount of Althea Pore Purifying Serum Cleanser. Gently massage for 5-10 seconds in circular motions before rinse.

Not too oily and can be remove in one rinse

I love the texture, some makeup remover + cleanser leaves heavy feeling when i applied to my skin, but not this. It does not make my pores clog or discomfort my skin. And makeup removes well, does not require second time cleansing (double cleansing).

New in My Collection : LaF Water Bomb Ampoule Review

Avene is my favourite mist and i have not missed out to use moisturiser every single day due to my skin condition which is sometimes a bit drying and flaky. I think i would need a special hydrating treatment so once i saw a post on the Butterfly Project website and page about their collaboration with LaF a.k.a Lost and Found, i applied to try their LaF Water Bomb Ampoule. Have you heard this brand yet? LaF is an abbreviation for Lost (problem) and Found (solution). They have a range of products focusing on pore care with the use of tea tree oil. If you are a drugstores addict, you should have seen this brand mostly in Guardian.

LaF Water Bomb Ampoule is the solution for those who are having skin problems in terms of dehydrated skin, oily and sensitive skin which requires intensive care. So I was lucky enough to be able to try this product with the help from our Mamasan (thanks for choosing me!). haha Each bottle comes with a dropper containing 30ml solutions. I love the packaging which is simple and minimalist.

To be honest, i have been using only serum before so i was quite curious about this product. What i understand through my readings, ampoule are in the same family with serum and essence, however it is a supercharged serum that contains higher concentration of active ingredients. Key Ingredients in LaF Skin Solutions Waterbomb Ampoule: Hyaluronic acid and Aloe Vera Leaf Water (Hydrating), Betaine (Purifying), Allantoin (Soothing), Usnea Barbata (Calming) and Sicchuan/ Zanthoxylum (Protecting).

LaF claims that the presence of hyaluronic acid in the LaF Water Bomb Ampoule could help to strengthen our skin moisture barrier. It also contains aloe vera which helps to soothe the irritated skin cause by exterior stimuli. So here are the list of ingredients for your reference:

Ingredients: Water (Aqua), Glycerin, Dipropylene Glycol, Butylene Glycol, Sodium Hyaluronate, Betaine, Cyclopentasiloxane, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Allantoin, Panthenol, Demithicone/Vinyldimethicone Crosspolymer, Sodium PCA, Tocopheryl Acetate, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Water, Dimethicone, PEG-10 Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Disodium EDTA, Arginine, Carbomer, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Zanthoxylum Piperitum Fruit Extract, Pulsatilla Koreana Extract, Usnea Barbata (Lichen) Extract, Fragrance

The texture and scent: Water-like texture and absorb to the skin quite well. Yes there's a "rich" feelings (thick) serum. Nice smell as it also contains fragrance. {Photos without filter to show the real texture and result}

How to use it: After cleansing and applying the toner, take an appropriate amount of LaF Water Bomb and apply to the skin. Pat until fully absorb to the skin.

My first impression: I am new to this product and i think it was too soon for me to express my opinion on it. But i think i could share my first impression on this product to those who might want to know more about it. At the beginning i thought it was too thick for my skin to absorb (you can feel it is quite sticky and thick) and i had a doubt on it. However after several times trying to adapt the consistency of the product, i think its not bad at all. A dot or two is enough to moisturize your whole face. My skin felt moist and soft after usage. However, my skin is quite sensitive to certain fragrance ingredients so i really hope this one suits my skin. And yes, there's no bad reactions on my skin yet, maybe i should wait a little longer to evaluate. lol

Am i going to repurchase? For now i would say maybe i will but it could be a different kind of ampoule? haha i am quite interested with their whitening ampoule. Also their med secret cream looks interesting too.

And yes there are two other Ampoules you can try out too, Anti-Wrinkle Ampoule and Whitening Ampoule. So how was it ? I hope this review helps you to decide.
